In a thrilling display of equestrian talent, trainer Imtiaz Sait's horse, Tyrannus, emerged victorious in The Hindu Trophy, a highlight of the 'Media Day' event organized by the Royal Western India Turf Club (RWITC) on Saturday, August 22. Ridden by jockey Antony Raj S, Tyrannus showcased impressive speed and skill, finishing ahead of competitors to secure the win for owner Mr. C. Aryama Sundaram.

Race Highlights and Results

The day's racing featured several exciting events, beginning with the Free Press Journal Trophy, where Flash Mob, ridden by C. Umesh, claimed first place. The race, covering a distance of 1,400 meters, saw Flash Mob finish in a time of 1 minute 26.97 seconds, with Phantasmique, the favorite, taking second place. The results were closely contested, with Remy Red and Whisper following in third and fourth, respectively.

Next up was the Race Mirror Trophy, where Little John, under the guidance of Neeraj Rawal, triumphed over Oliver and Manwar, completing the 2,000-meter race in 2 minutes 5.43 seconds. The event was notable for its competitive spirit, with the favorite, Manwar, finishing in third place.

In the Indiarace.com Trophy (Div. II), Sukoon, ridden by Antony Raj S, secured victory, while the Times of India Trophy saw Dreamer, with N.S. Parmar in the saddle, take the lead. Dreamer finished the 1,600-meter race in a time of 1 minute 38.72 seconds, edging out Rosario and Elysium.

The day continued with the Indiarace.com Trophy (Div. I), where Red Lightning, ridden by Neeraj Rawal, claimed first place, followed by Queen Caroline and El Nino. The Mid-Day Trophy concluded the eventful day, with Floyd, under Ramswarup, finishing first, while the Dopahar Trophy saw Spotlight take the lead, further showcasing the depth of talent present at the RWITC.
