While many horses moved with ease, the quartet of Stud Poker, Edison, Whistling Glory, and Sigrid delivered the most significant displays of the day.
Standout performances on the outer sand
On the outer sand track, Stud Poker, ridden by Antony, clocked 1:22 for the 1200m distance, covering the final 1000m in 1:08 and the last 600m in 41 seconds, marking a fine display of speed and stamina. Edison, under S. Imran, also impressed over the same 1200m distance, finishing in 1:21 with a 1000m split of 1:08.5 and a final 600m in 44.5 seconds.
Sigrid, paired with Antony, moved with fluency over 1200m to clock 1:27, recording a 1000m time of 1:10 and a 600m finish of 41.5 seconds. Meanwhile, Whistling Glory, partnered with Waitara and ridden by Aleemuddin, showed dominance in a 1400m gallop. Whistling Glory finished six lengths ahead of Waitara, completing the distance in 1:42, with the final 1200m, 1000m, and 600m segments timed at 1:25.5, 1:11.5, and 43 seconds respectively.
Inner sand training updates
Activity on the inner sand track saw several horses putting in solid work. Interceptor, ridden by S. Imran, covered 1000m in 1:08, finishing the final 600m in 39.5 seconds. Charlie Brown, also with S. Imran, stretched out well over the same distance to clock 1:06.5, with a 38.5-second final 600m. Money Bags, working over 1200m, recorded 1:22, showing fine condition with a 1000m split of 1:07 and a 600m finish of 40 seconds.
Other notable efforts included Xaily, who finished four lengths clear of Alpha Legend in a 600m sprint, and Estelle, who maintained a steady rhythm over 1600m, clocking 1:57. The session concluded with various horses, including Seize The Grey, Spiritual Light, and Ziva, showing encouraging signs of fitness as they continue their preparations.
