Horses Earth and Mother’s Gift produced standout performances during the latest morning exercise session on the inner sand track, showcasing strong form ahead of upcoming racing fixtures.

Earth and Mother’s Gift emerged as the standout performers during Thursday morning’s training session on the inner sand track. Both horses displayed impressive form as they were put through their paces, drawing attention from observers during the exercise period on October 8.

Among the notable efforts, Earth, partnered with Gore, covered the 1000m distance in 1:03, clocking an impressive 48 seconds for the 800m and 36 seconds for the final 600m. Similarly, Mother’s Gift, ridden by an apprentice, caught the eye over 800m, recording a time of 48 seconds with a sharp 36-second split for the final 600m.

Track work highlights and notable performances

The morning session featured a variety of gallops across different distances. In the 1000m category, Bravion completed the distance in 1:06, while Bishop finished in 1:09. A pair of runners, Satyavan and Romanos, worked together to clock 1:05, moving level and freely throughout their gallop.

Over the 800m distance, Ashwa Kangto and Ashwa Pathan moved in tandem, finishing in 51 seconds with a 38-second final 600m. Other notable 800m efforts included Exotic Star, who clocked 52 seconds, and Absolute Serenity, who finished in 53 seconds. Several other horses, including Believe, Matisse, Pure Soul, Bohemian Rhapsody, and the pair of Rainbow Connection and Unforgettable You, completed their work with easier efforts.

Extended gallops and shorter sprints

Longer work was also on display, with Dream Alliance covering 1600m in 1:53, showing a strong response during the final stages of the gallop. In a 1400m exercise, Jaandaar and Britannia worked together, with Jaandaar making up three lengths to finish level with their partner in 1:39.

The shorter 600m sprints saw several horses moving well, including Fourth Wing and Marius, who both clocked 37 seconds. Spotlight also moved freely in 38 seconds, while Ashwa Vedha completed the distance in 40 seconds. These sessions provide a crucial look at the current condition of the horses as they prepare for their upcoming engagements.
