The competition will see participants competing across various grids, highlighting the diversity and skill present in the field. A notable addition to this year’s event is the introduction of prize money for each round, which will be awarded alongside trophies to both individual podium finishers and their respective teams.
New Categories and Cost-Effective Measures
In an effort to make the competition more accessible, the organizers have introduced the Superstock category, which allows for limited modifications. This category will be available in the 165cc (Intermediate and Girls) and the 301-400cc Open classes. The
Additionally, Petronas TVS Racing will host its own One-Make Championship, which will feature several categories including Expert, Rookie, Girls, Electric RTE, and Media, spanning three rounds. This initiative aims to further engage a wider audience and promote inclusivity within the sport.
Commitment to Safety and Excellence
Ajit Thomas, president of the Madras Motor Sports Club (MMSC), expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming season, stating, “After months of preparations that included a few rounds of discussions with the competitors and their teams, we have put together a new-look event which will enjoy as much significance and status as any other National-level competition.” He emphasized the club's commitment to enhancing safety measures at the MIC, which has recently undergone inspection and received approval from the FIA. Thomas extended a warm welcome to all stakeholders, particularly long-time sponsors MRF Tyres, as they embark on a new season filled with hope and high expectations.
