Coimbatore Hosts Thrilling 2W Rally Event

The inaugural round of the MRF MOGRIP-FMSCI Indian National Rally Championship (INRC) for motorcycles is set to take place on August 2 in Coimbatore, specifically at the Pattanam-Vellalore stages. This event, organized by the Coimbatore Auto Sports Club (CASC) in collaboration with Godspeed from Pune, has garnered participation from 75 riders hailing from various parts of the country.

New Location and Route Details

This year, the CASC has opted for a venue closer to the city, a shift from previous years, aimed at enhancing accessibility for participants and spectators alike. The rally will cover a total distance of 79.06 kilometers, with the Special Stages comprising 54.70 kilometers of that route. Competitors will navigate through two distinct Special Stages: Black Thunder, measuring 13.05 kilometers, and SM Agro, which spans 14.30 kilometers. Each stage will be run twice in the same direction, providing a consistent challenge for the riders.

Technical Challenges Ahead

According to J. Prithiviraj, Secretary of CASC, the newly designed stages are intended to present a more technical and demanding experience for the participants. This enhancement aims to test the skills and endurance of the riders, ensuring a thrilling competition. The event is supported by prominent sponsors, including MRF, TVS, and PSG Hospitals, reflecting the growing interest and investment in motorsport within the region.

As the excitement builds for the 2W Rally of Coimbatore, both competitors and fans are eager to witness the unfolding of this prestigious event, which promises to deliver high-octane action and showcase the talents of India's top motorcycle riders.
