With Sudharsan's absence looming, the Indian team management is exploring options for his replacement. Shaik Rasheed and Sarfaraz Khan have emerged as the leading candidates to step in. Reports indicate that Sarfaraz has been at the Centre of Excellence for over a week, undergoing fitness evaluations, while Rasheed has been summoned to the Bengaluru facility for assessment this Sunday.
Rasheed recently showcased his talent during a tour with the India A team in Sri Lanka, where he scored 45, 63, and 20 in three innings.
