The IAME Series India karting competition is set to continue with its third round at the Madras International Karting Arena (MIKA) this Saturday. Organized by the Madras Motor Sports Club, this event has garnered significant interest, drawing 34 entries for the exciting double-header format. The previous rounds took place at the CoASTT circuit in Coimbatore, showcasing the growing popularity of karting in the region.

Rising Stars in the Spotlight

Among the standout competitors is Shiv Neel, a promising young driver from Coimbatore, who races for NIKRA with Momentum. As the son of Narain Karthikeyan, India’s first Formula One driver, Shiv has made a name for himself in the Mini class, currently leading the standings with an impressive 90 points. His consistent performances have positioned him as a key contender in this round.

Another notable participant is Aarthrun Prabhu from Kumaraburam, representing Kartkrew Motorsports. Aarthrun, who clinched a gold medal at the FIA Asia-Pacific Championships in Sri Lanka last year, is currently leading the under-10 category with a narrow six-point margin. His experience on the international stage could play a crucial role in his performance at MIKA.

Chennai’s Rehan Khan Rasheed, also a member of Momentum Motorsports, is another young talent to watch. He has been dominating the Junior class, amassing 97 points and showcasing remarkable skill in the previous rounds. His recent performances have established him as a formidable competitor, and many are eager to see if he can maintain his lead in this upcoming round.
