The work provided a clear indication of the current fitness levels within the local stables, with several riders opting for controlled, impressive efforts rather than all-out speed trials.
Standout Gallops Over Longer Distances
The most notable activity occurred over the 1400m distance, where P. Trevor guided a trio of horses through impressive sessions. Starzella was particularly eye-catching, clocking 1:39 for the full distance, with the final 600m covered in a sharp 42 seconds. Valiant Stream also produced an attractive display, recording 1:40 for the 1400m trip and finishing the final 600m in 42 seconds. Miracle Star rounded out the group of notable performers over this distance, clocking 1:41.
In the 1200m category, Act Of Kindness moved impressively, stopping the clock at 1:26.5, with a final 600m split of 43 seconds. Other horses to work well over this distance included Obolensky, Pearl Star, and Sassy Sarah, all of whom moved with freedom and purpose during their respective gallops.
Sharp Work Over Shorter Trips
The shorter sprints also yielded several positive reports. Osaka delivered a strong performance over 1000m, finishing in 1:11.5 with a quick 40.5-second final 600m. Bellavita also impressed over the same distance, clocking 1:09.5. In a level finish, Don Carlos and Magnus completed their 1000m work in 1:16.
At the 600m mark, several horses demonstrated good acceleration. Flavianus pleased onlookers with a 41-second effort, matching the time set by Tolkien, who moved impressively. Star Comet also looked comfortable, clocking 41.5 seconds, while Lasya completed the work in 43 seconds. These sessions serve as a vital component of the preparation process for the horses as they continue their training cycles at the Bengaluru facility.
