Invincible Force, Admirable, and Irish Gold produced standout performances during Monday morning's training session, as horses prepared for upcoming races with a series of exercises on the inner sand track.

Invincible Force, Admirable, and Irish Gold were the standout performers during Monday morning’s training session on September 7. As horses continued their preparations, these three runners displayed impressive form during their respective gallops on the inner sand track.

Among the notable efforts, Irish Gold, partnered by Gore, clocked an excellent 48 seconds for the 800m distance, finishing the final 600m in 36 seconds. Similarly, Admirable, ridden by Kamble, moved attractively over 1000m, recording a time of 1:04, with an 800m split of 49 seconds and a final 600m in 37 seconds. Invincible Force, under Yash, also caught the eye during a 1000m gallop, covering the distance in 1:06 and finishing a distance ahead of Golden Heart.

Track work and gate practice highlights

The morning session featured a variety of gallops across different distances. In the 1000m category, Menorca and Inheritance moved well, finishing neck and neck in 1:05, with their final 600m clocked at 38 seconds. Coffee At Eleven also produced an impressive display, covering the 1000m in 1:06, while Expedite finished four lengths clear of Echo in their 1000m hit-out, which was completed in 1:06.

Several horses participated in gate practice on the inner sand track. Ashwa Brazil and Highground completed their 1000m practice in 1:06, with Ashwa Brazil finishing six lengths ahead. In another 1000m gate session, Cornucopia and Horizon clocked 1:06, with Cornucopia finishing a distance clear of its companion. Opus Dei and Acrobatic also worked together over the same distance, finishing level in 1:08.

Mock race updates

In addition to the morning training, results from mock races held on September 6 were noted. In a 2000m mock race on the main track, Caccini and Shubhankar completed the distance in 2:07. A second mock race over 1200m saw Rafael lead from pillar to post to secure victory in 1:12, finishing ahead of Golden Gun and Azalea. The race was marked by a slow start from Juracan, who was six lengths behind, while Mai Tai failed to participate after planting in the stalls.
