Invincible Force, Admirable, and Irish Gold delivered standout performances during the morning training sessions at the Pune racecourse on Monday, September 7. As trainers put their charges through their paces on the inner sand track, these three horses caught the eye with particularly sharp displays of form.
The training activity covered a variety of distances, with the horses demonstrating readiness for upcoming race days. The session provided a vital opportunity for trainers to assess the condition of their runners, with several notable gallops recorded across the morning.
Standout Gallops and Training Highlights
Irish Gold, under the guidance of Gore, produced one of the most impressive efforts of the morning, clocking 48 seconds for the 800m sprint, including a final 600m in 36 seconds. Similarly, Admirable, ridden by Kamble, looked in excellent condition over 1000m, finishing in 1:04 with an 800m split of 49 seconds and a final 600m in 37 seconds. Invincible Force, partnered with Yash, also showed strong form over the 1000m distance, finishing a distance ahead of Golden Heart with a final 600m time of 37 seconds.
Other notable performances included Menorca and Inheritance, who moved in tandem over 1000m to clock 1:05, while Earth and Exhalt both showed promise in their respective 800m gallops, each recording a 600m split of 38 seconds. In the gate practice sessions on the inner sand, Ashwa Brazil and Cornucopia both finished their 1000m efforts well clear of their respective training partners.
Recent Mock Race Results
The training updates follow a series of mock races held on the race track on September 6. In the 2000m mock race, Caccini, ridden by Sandesh, finished well clear of Shubhankar, clocking 2:07 with a final 600m in 37 seconds.
The second mock race, held over 1200m, saw a dominant display from Rafael, who led from start to finish to claim victory. The field included Golden Gun, Azalea, New Star, Vermeer, Juracan, Camden, and Mai Tai, with the race finishing in 1:12. The event was not without incident, however, as Juracan was slow to start by six lengths, while Mai Tai failed to participate after planting in the stalls.
