A Day of Multiple Successes
Beyond the feature event, Akshay Kumar continued his strong form by securing wins in the Mahabubnagar Plate (Div. I) aboard Annhilator and the Bhadrachalam Trophy with Pole Star. Annhilator, also trained by D. Netto, finished two lengths clear of Knight Crusader in the 1,200-metre sprint, clocking a time of 1 minute, 13.79 seconds. Meanwhile, in the Bhadrachalam Trophy, Pole Star edged out Sharanga by a neck in a competitive 1,200-metre contest, finishing in 1 minute, 13.74 seconds.
The remainder of the card saw several other trainers and jockeys find success. Neeraj Rawal guided Classy Touch to victory in the Chaitanya Chakram Plate, while trainer Jasbir Singh saw his charge, Hoping High, take the Mancherial Plate over 1,600 metres. The final event of the day, the second division of the Mahabubnagar Plate, was claimed by High Speed Dive, ridden by Rafique Sk. and trained by B. Mukesh Kumar, who finished four lengths ahead of the runner-up, Ragnarök.
