The victory capped off a successful day for trainer
Strong performances across the card
The day’s racing featured a variety of competitive plates, with several favourites justifying the support of punters. In the Nationalistic Plate over 1,600 metres, Beyond Stars, ridden by A. Sandesh and trained by S. Waheed, lived up to expectations by winning the race. Rosario, under the guidance of trainer P. Shroff and jockey S. Siddharth, also performed well to claim the Great Secret Plate over 2,000 metres.
The Secret Romeo Plate saw a tighter finish, with Muqaddar edging out the competition to secure a win for trainer Aman Altaf Hussain. Meanwhile, the Dakshin Maharashtra & Goa Sub-Area Trophy provided one of the closest finishes of the day, as Zephyr claimed victory by a short head in a competitive 1,200-metre sprint.
Success for Jodha and Sandesh
Trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha enjoyed further success later in the afternoon when Savage Peacock triumphed in the 1,600-metre Dancing Phoenix Plate. The horse, ridden by A. Sandesh, finished 3-1/4 lengths ahead of the favourite, Britannia. In other results, Tranquila claimed the Regal Equity Plate, and Minari secured the honours in the Alexandress Plate, rounding out a full day of action on the track.
