Fynbos and Time And Tide emerged as the standout performers during Saturday morning's training session on September 12. Both horses displayed impressive form and fluid movement, drawing attention as they continued their preparations for upcoming race meetings.

The track work, conducted on the inner sand, provided a clear indication of the current fitness levels of the participating horses. While several runners were put through their paces, the efforts of Fynbos and Time And Tide were particularly notable for their consistency and ease of movement.

Strong performances on the inner sand

Fynbos, partnered with Vivek, delivered a comprehensive workout over 2000m. The horse clocked 2-17 for the full distance, maintaining a steady rhythm throughout the session. The split times were equally encouraging, with the horse covering the final 1000m in 1-5 and the concluding 600m in 39 seconds. The display was described as impressive, highlighting the horse's readiness for future competition.

Time And Tide, ridden by Ramswarup, also caught the eye during a 1000m gallop. The horse completed the distance in 1-5, showing a comfortable stride. The session included an 800m split of 51 seconds and a final 600m section in 39 seconds, confirming the horse's positive form heading into the next phase of its training schedule.

Supporting track work highlights

Several other horses also participated in the morning exercises, showing varying levels of intensity. Rogue, under Zeeshan, clocked 51 seconds for 800m with a 600m split of 38 seconds, requiring a slight urge to complete the work. In a pair gallop, Rizz and Shimmer covered 800m in 52 seconds, with Rizz finishing one length ahead of its companion.

Wings Of Fury also produced a solid effort, recording 52 seconds for 800m, while Ashwa Kangto completed the same distance in 54 seconds. Other participants included Money Spinner and Britannia, who moved together to clock 55 seconds for 800m, and the duo of Kaiser and Taaqath, who finished their 800m work in 56 seconds. Zephyr completed the morning's notable activity with an easy 800m gallop in 57 seconds.
