A group of thoroughbreds produced eye-catching performances during the morning exercise session at the Bengaluru racecourse on September 12. As trainers ramped up preparations, several horses demonstrated strong form across both the inner and outer sand tracks, signaling their readiness for upcoming engagements.
Among the standout performers, Black Irish, guided by Rozario, delivered an impressive display over 1400m, clocking 1:40, with the final 1200m in 1:25 and the 1000m stretch in 1:11. Similarly, Prokofiev caught the eye of observers during a 1200m gallop, finishing in 1:23.5 with a notable 1000m split of 1:08.5.
Standout performances on the outer sand
The outer sand track hosted several notable efforts throughout the morning. In the 1200m category, Rosaline, under Aleemuddin, impressed with a time of 1:25, covering the final 1000m in 1:09.5. Meanwhile, Jailer also showed good form, completing the 1200m distance in 1:25.5, with a 1000m split of 1:11.5. Mister Brown, partnered by R. Pradeep, looked comfortable during a 1000m run, clocking 1:15 with a final 600m of 41.5.
Other horses to show promise included Como, who clocked 1:27.5 for 1200m, and Tipped Off, who finished in 1:28. In the longer 1400m work, N R I Ace and Knightsbridge both moved attractively, recording times of 1:41 and 1:41.5 respectively. The pair of Don Carlos and Magnus also moved in tandem to finish their 1200m work in 1:30.5.
Inner sand activity and final preparations
The inner sand track saw a series of sharp sprints as horses focused on their speed work. Sicyon and Annabelle both clocked 1:07.5 over the 1000m distance, showing good acceleration in the final 600m. Siege Storm also put in a solid performance, finishing the 1000m in 1:08.5.
Additional work on the outer sand included Power Of Beauty, who moved impressively over 600m in 41.5, and Edison, who appeared in fine trim while clocking 43.5 for the same distance. Double Vision and My Solitaire finished their 1000m gallop level at 1:14, rounding out a productive morning of training for the local stables.
