The training session, held on September 4, saw several runners put through their paces as trainers assessed their readiness. The morning work focused on maintaining fitness and rhythm, with a variety of horses completing sprints and longer gallops under varying levels of intensity.
Strong performances on the outer sand
Born To Rise, partnered with Yash, delivered a notable performance over 1200m, clocking 1:25. The horse showed excellent form, covering the 1000m mark in 1:10 and finishing the final 600m in 41 seconds. Similarly, Star Studded, ridden by Prabhakaran, looked impressive over the same distance, recording a time of 1:26.5. Star Studded completed the 1000m in 1:11.5 and the final 600m in 43.5 seconds, leaving observers pleased with the effort.
Other horses also caught the eye during the session. Mystical Air, with R. Pradeep in the saddle, impressed over 1000m with a time of 1:14.5, finishing the final 600m in 42 seconds. Executive One also appeared in fine trim, clocking 1:30.5 for the 1200m distance, while Tiger Bay finished the 1000m gallop in 1:16.5.
Steady work across the field
The morning session included several shorter gallops where horses focused on steady, controlled movement. Kabali, ridden by R. Pradeep, shaped well over 600m, clocking 43 seconds. Kings Victoryqueen also worked effectively over the same distance, stopping the clock at 43.5 seconds.
Several other runners completed their exercises with ease. Crown Angel, guided by Reza, strode out well to clock 45 seconds over 600m, matching the time of Il Volo. Meanwhile, Xanthos, Gordon, Qualify, Dowsing, Whistling Glory, and Turkoman all completed their 600m work in 46 seconds, moving freely and showing no signs of distress as they concluded their morning preparations.
