The duo maintained a consistent rhythm, passing the 1000m marker in 1:06 and the 800m point in 52 seconds. Their synchronized effort and impressive movement stood out among the morning’s proceedings as horses continued their preparations at the track.
Strong performances across the training session
Several other contenders also caught the eye during the morning session. Pride’s Prince displayed good form over 1200m, clocking 1:20, with a 1000m split of 1:06 and a final 600m in 40 seconds. Esconido also looked attractive in its work, covering 1000m in 1:06, while Legadema and Break Point completed their 1000m gallops in 1:07 and 1:08 respectively.
In other notable work, Marcus and Prince Igor both showed promise, each clocking 53 seconds for their 800m gallops. Meanwhile, the pair of Sanctified and Zayyan moved freely over 1200m to finish in 1:25. Other horses to move fluently during the session included Naledi, Bishop, We Still Believe, Looking Like A Wow, and Phantasmique.
Gate practice updates
The morning also featured gate practice on the inner sand track. In a 1000m exercise, Dancing Star finished six lengths ahead of Lord Rishon, with the pair clocking 1:08. Elsewhere, Britannia and Money Spinner finished level after a 1000m run in 1:07. A trio consisting of Ageisjustanumber, Rivayat, and Pentimento also participated in gate practice, moving level over the same distance in 1:08.
