Baillee and Exhalt delivered eye-catching performances during Saturday morning’s training session, signaling their readiness for upcoming racing challenges. Both horses displayed impressive form on the inner sand track, catching the eye with their fluid movement and controlled pace during their respective gallops.
The morning exercises, held on August 29, provided a platform for several horses to test their fitness levels. Among the notable performers, Baillee, partnered with Gore, clocked 1:07 for the 1000m distance, covering the final 800m in 52 seconds and the last 600m in 39 seconds. The horse appeared well in hand throughout the work, finishing level with Alexios, who required a push to maintain the pace.
Strong Gallops Highlight Morning Training
Exhalt also drew attention during the session, showing significant promise over 800m. Ridden by Merchant, Exhalt completed the distance in 51 seconds, with a sharp 600m split of 38 seconds, leaving a positive impression on onlookers. Other notable work included Rinella, who moved well over 1000m in 1:08, and Axlrod, who covered 600m in 38 seconds with a smooth, comfortable action.
In the longer distance gallops, several pairs showcased their stamina and preparation. Jaandaar and Delilah covered 1200m in 1:24, with Jaandaar showing good acceleration to finish level after starting three lengths behind. Similarly, Mahogany and Manuel moved freely over the same distance in 1:24, while The Olive Crown and Monterey were urged to complete their 1200m work in 1:24, with The Olive Crown finishing four lengths clear.
The 1400m gallops saw Naledi and Bishop move in tandem, finishing neck and neck in 1:39. Acropolis and Zoe also completed the 1400m distance in 1:41, with Acropolis finishing three lengths ahead. Other routine work included Coffee At Eleven, Pentimento, Snow Sky, Red Merlot, Organised Chaos, Rizz, and Loyal Lover, all of whom completed their respective exercises as part of their ongoing training programs.
