Hockey India Secretary General calls for Executive Board meeting as Director General remains unresponsive.

In a communication directed to HI President Dilip Tirkey, Singh emphasized that the Executive Board (EB) is the sole authority capable of resolving these matters and requested a meeting to discuss the various concerns that have been raised in recent correspondence.

“In light of the numerous emails received over the past few days highlighting different issues, I urge that all concerns be compiled and presented to the EB,” Singh stated. He reiterated the importance of convening an Emergent EB meeting as soon as possible to facilitate a resolution. This request underscores the growing urgency to address the internal conflicts that have surfaced within the organization.

In addition to addressing governance issues, Singh has sought clarification from Director General Cdr. R.K. Srivastava regarding a concerning leak of internal communications to the media. He noted that details from an email sent by Tirkey had been reported publicly, prompting Singh to request an investigation into how this breach of confidentiality occurred. “It has come to my attention that the contents of the mail sent by Dilip Tirkey have been disclosed to the media... I ask that you look into this matter,” he wrote.

Singh also indicated that discussions surrounding the contentious jersey color change would be reserved for the upcoming EB meeting, emphasizing the need for a formal platform to address such significant issues. This comes on a day when Srivastava was unable to provide the necessary documentation to support the decision regarding the jersey change, despite a firm reminder from Tirkey.
