The decision comes as the humanitarian situation in Nepal remains critical. According to the latest data from the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority, the death toll has risen to 1,355, with rescue operations continuing for 4,996 missing individuals, a figure that includes at least 589 foreign nationals. While 13,396 people have been successfully rescued, the scale of the tragedy has prompted a widespread international response.

The tribute will take place during a busy week of European football, with 14 matches scheduled to be played starting Tuesday. Among the high-profile fixtures, Barcelona are set to host Feyenoord at Camp Nou on September 9, while Liverpool will face Atletico Madrid at Anfield on September 10.
