She noted that the process was comprehensive, incorporating research from the Manchester Metropolitan University’s Institute of Sport. Furthermore, she confirmed that her most recent medical testing in July showed total testosterone levels at 0.6 nanomoles, which falls within the female reference range provided by the laboratory.
While the decision from Cricket Australia marks a significant milestone, it does not guarantee selection for any professional side. Bangar is currently focused on taking “baby steps,” which include joining a local club to compete at the community level. She is presently in discussions with several clubs to determine the best environment to resume her playing career, with the long-term ambition of eventually competing in the Women’s Big Bash League.
