Impressive Performances on Inner Sand
Among the standout performers was Elysium, trained by Shreyas, who clocked an impressive time of 1:22.5 for 1,200 meters, with splits of 1:07.5 for 1,000 meters and 39.5 seconds for the final 600 meters. Elysium appeared to be in excellent form, demonstrating both speed and stamina during the workout.
Fortis, also under Shreyas's guidance, completed the same distance in 1:23, with a 1,000-meter time of 1:07 and a final 600 meters in 38.5 seconds. This performance left a positive impression on observers, indicating that Fortis is gearing up for a strong showing in future competitions.
Outer Sand Track Highlights
Shifting to the outer sand track, the 600-meter sprint saw Rojo, trained by Laxman S, and Country’s Marvel, under Arul, finish in a dead heat at 45 seconds. Mandalay, trained by Antony, followed closely with a time of 47 seconds, completing the workout with ease.
In a longer workout on the outer sand, Ranquelino, with R. Pradeep in the saddle, completed 1,000 meters in a swift 1:15, finishing the last 600 meters in 44 seconds. This performance was met with approval from the training team, suggesting that Ranquelino is in peak condition.
Doncaster Belle, also trained by Arul, matched Ranquelino's time of 1:15 for 1,000 meters, finishing the last 600 meters in an impressive 43.5 seconds, showcasing her potential as well.
Finally, Tolkien, under the guidance of Antony, completed a 1,400-meter workout in 1:40.5, with splits of 1:25.5 for 1,200 meters, 1:11 for 1,000 meters, and a final 600 meters in 42.5 seconds. This performance was particularly noteworthy, as Tolkien moved with remarkable agility and speed, leaving trainers optimistic about his upcoming races.
