A group of promising thoroughbreds caught the eye during Saturday morning's training session at the Bengaluru track on October 10. As preparations continue for upcoming race days, several horses demonstrated significant fitness and agility across various distances on the outer sand track.

Among the standout performers were Royal Legacy and Miracle Star, both of whom produced fluent and controlled efforts during their 1600m gallops. Their performances were matched by the likes of Jersey King, Power Of Beauty, and Tricon Falcon, all of whom displayed encouraging signs of form to their respective training teams.

Key Performers and Gallops

In the longer work, Royal Legacy clocked 1-55 for the 1600m distance, finishing the final 600m in 44 seconds, showing he is in fine condition. Miracle Star also looked comfortable over the same trip, covering the distance in 1-57.5 with a 43-second final split. Meanwhile, over 1400m, Sun Supreme and Jersey King were notable for their sharp work, with Jersey King finishing two lengths ahead of Flaming Sword in a time of 1-42.

The 1200m gallops provided further highlights, particularly from Teak, who impressed with a 1-28 effort, clocking a quick 41 seconds for the final 600m. Densetsu also caught the eye, striding out well to record 1-26, while Tricon Falcon moved attractively to finish in 1-26.5. In a competitive-looking piece of work, Doncaster Belle and Astraeus finished level over 1200m, with the latter showing good recovery after starting two lengths behind.

Sprint and Mid-Distance Updates

The 1000m sessions saw Power Of Beauty produce an eye-catching display, stopping the clock at 1-11.5 with a final 600m sprint of 40 seconds. Other notable efforts over the 1000m trip included Shining Path, who was pushed to finish in 1-10, and Carter, who strode out well to record 1-11. Bright Thunder also showed good pace, clocking 1-12 for the distance.

Shorter work on the outer sand included a sharp 41.5-second effort from Irish Coffee over 600m. Other horses to move well over the 600m sprint included Ancient History, Vafadar, and Double Scotch, all of whom completed their work without issue. These sessions provide a vital look at the current conditioning of the local string as they build toward their next competitive outings.
