Trained by Prasanna Kumar and ridden by Trevor, Money Bags secured a dominant victory in the 1,200m Zavaray S. Poonawalla Mysore Dasara Sprint Championship at the Mysore races on Friday.

Money Bags delivered a commanding performance to clinch the Zavaray S. Poonawalla Mysore Dasara Sprint Championship 2026, the headline event of the race day held in Mysore on Friday, October 9. Guided by jockey Trevor, the sprinter showcased impressive form over the 1,200m distance to secure the victory for trainer Prasanna Kumar.

The race saw Money Bags comfortably outpace the competition, finishing 2-3/4 lengths ahead of runner-up Echoes Of Time. Crown Drive followed in third, while Masato completed the top four. The winning time for the event was recorded at 1:08.88. The victory was celebrated by the horse's ownership group, which includes Capt. Jamshed J. Appoo, Mr. K. Manoj Kumar, Mr. K. Kaliyaperumal, and Mr. J. Ramesh.

The day’s racing featured a full programme of events alongside the feature sprint. In the Bottolanda Mitto Chengappa Memorial Trophy (1,600m), Seeking Alpha, also ridden by Trevor, claimed victory by two lengths over Still I Rise, with Touch Of Grey finishing third. Earlier in the day, the Justice P. Medappa Memorial Trophy was split into two divisions. Malet Spring secured the first division over 1,200m, while Martino took top honours in the second division, finishing 2-3/4 lengths clear of Sunway Lagoon.

The Mysore City Trophy (1,400m) provided a tighter finish, with Grizzly edging out Winter Agenda by half a length, with Rising Tycoon taking third place. Other winners on the card included Star Honour, who won the Chirapunji Plate (1,400m) by 3/4 of a length, and Cosette, who triumphed in the Autumn Blue Plate (1,400m) by a margin of 3-3/4 lengths. The race day concluded with a series of pool payouts, including a Jackpot return of Rs. 2,513.
