Mother’s Gift and Storm Majesty headlined a productive morning of track work on Wednesday, September 2, as horses prepared for upcoming racing commitments. Both runners produced eye-catching displays on the inner sand track, signaling they are in peak condition for their next outings.

The training session, which focused on various distances, saw a flurry of activity as trainers put their charges through their paces. Among the highlights, Storm Majesty, guided by A. Gaikwad, clocked an impressive 49 seconds for 800m, covering the final 600m in 35 seconds. The performance suggests the horse is maintaining the winning form that has defined its recent appearances.

Standout Performances and Training Notes

Mother’s Gift also drew attention with an excellent display, recording 48 seconds for the 800m sprint and clocking 36 seconds for the final 600m. These efforts were among the fastest of the morning, marking both horses as ones to watch in their respective upcoming races.

Other notable work included Chilton Lodge and Antino, both of whom moved well over 800m, clocking identical times of 52 seconds with 600m splits of 38 seconds. Tempo also showed promise, covering the same distance in 52 seconds with a 38-second final sectional. Meanwhile, New Star and Golden Gun worked in tandem, moving freely over 800m in 52 seconds.

Extended Gallops and Gate Practice

In the longer gallops, Irish Gold and Umeed both caught the eye over 1000m, finishing in 1 minute and 5 seconds, with 600m times of 38 and 39 seconds respectively. A pair of 1200m gallopers, Sanctified and Zayyan, moved nicely to clock 1 minute and 22 seconds, while Victory Flair was pushed to record 1 minute and 20 seconds over the same distance.

The session concluded with gate practice on the inner sand. Tonto, partnered with South Beach and Kemosabi, impressed by finishing four lengths clear of the group after a 1000m exercise that saw them clock 1 minute and 6 seconds. Additionally, Money Spinner and Britannia demonstrated good technique, jumping out well and moving freely to record 1 minute and 11 seconds for their 1000m practice run.
