The session, held on the inner sand track, featured a variety of horses undergoing their final preparations. Among the other notable performers, Elysium caught the eye over 1400m, moving attractively to finish in 1:37, having covered the 1200m mark in 1:22 and the final 600m in 40 seconds.
Strong performances across the morning gallops
Several other horses demonstrated good form during their respective workouts. Bhairava, under Siddharth, moved nicely over 800m, clocking 51 seconds with a final 600m split of 38 seconds. Similarly, Queen Of Beauties, partnered with A. Gaikwad, also completed the 800m distance in 53 seconds, finishing the final 600m in 38 seconds.
In other work, Don Julio moved freely to record 53 seconds for 800m, while Age Of Reason worked comfortably over 1000m in 1:10. Victory Flair was also put through its paces over 1200m, finishing in 1:19 and showing signs of being pressed during the final stages of the gallop.
Gate practice highlights
The morning concluded with a series of gate practice sessions on the inner sand track. In a 1000m exercise, Ashwa Tazbeez moved freely to clock 1:09. Other pairs also tested their starting speed, with Ashwa Kangto finishing three lengths clear of Angelo after a 1000m run that took 1:10. Queens Covenant showed promise by finishing two lengths ahead of Aegean Sea, while Satyavan completed the distance four lengths in front of Imperial Dawn, both pairs clocking 1:09 and 1:10 respectively.
