Elysium, trained by Suleiman Attaollahi and ridden by Akshay Kumar, secured a victory in the feature event of Friday's race card, the Threptin Fillies’ & Mares’ Stakes, held over 1,800 metres.

Elysium emerged as the star of the day’s racing action on Friday, October 2, clinching the feature event, the Threptin Fillies’ & Mares’ Stakes. Guided by jockey Akshay Kumar and prepared by trainer Suleiman Attaollahi, the filly delivered a composed performance to claim the Gr. 3 contest over 1,800 metres. The victory was secured for a ownership group including M/s. D.R. Thacker, Mukul A. Sonawala, S.R. Sanas, and M/s. Sarainaga Racing Pvt. Ltd.

The race saw a competitive finish, with Elysium holding off the challenge from Kavya, who finished in second place, while Winfield and Namiri rounded out the top four. The winning time for the event was recorded at 1m, 49.44s, with margins of 3/4, 3/4, and 1-3/4 lengths separating the leading pack.

Supporting Results Across the Card

Earlier in the day, the racing programme featured a series of plates and trophies. The Aster Rose Plate over 1,400 metres was won by Jagger, ridden by T.S. Jodha, while The Olive Crown claimed the Auburn Plate (1,600m) under Antony Raj S. In the October Handicap, Caviar Queen, with Ramswarup in the saddle, took the honours over 1,200 metres.

The Gruezi Plate, also contested over 1,200 metres, saw Wind Dancer cross the line first for jockey A. Sandesh. The Rao Saheb Kedari Gold Trophy (1,600m) provided one of the closest finishes of the day, with Giant Gold, ridden by Aditya Waydande, narrowly defeating Victory Flair by a nose. The final event of the day, the Chef D’Oeuvre Plate (2,000m), was won by Age Of Reason, piloted by Neeraj Rawal, who finished 1-1/2 lengths ahead of the runner-up, Shaandaar.
