The Seattle Seahawks are facing a personnel challenge on their offensive line following news that starting left tackle Charles Cross has sustained a high ankle sprain. The injury occurred during the team's recent victory against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night, forcing the lineman to exit the contest during the fourth quarter.

According to reports, an MRI confirmed the severity of the injury. While the team is hopeful for a relatively quick recovery, current projections suggest Cross will be sidelined for one to two weeks. In his absence, Josh Jones, who finished the remainder of the game against Kansas City, is expected to take over starting duties for the upcoming Monday Night Football matchup against the Chicago Bears.

Injury Updates and Roster Developments

The Seahawks are managing several health concerns beyond the offensive line. Wide receiver Rashid Shaheed also left Sunday's game with a knee injury, which prevented him from participating in the second half of play. Head coach Mike Macdonald addressed the team's overall injury situation during his radio appearance on Seattle Sports 710-AM on Monday, noting that the initial assessments for the injured players have been generally positive.

In addition to the injury news, the organization is preparing to integrate rookie running back Jadarian Price back into the fold. Macdonald confirmed that the team intends to open the 21-day practice window for the first-round pick this week. Price has been sidelined for the previous four games while recovering from a chest injury.

The coaching staff is also monitoring the progress of running back Zach Charbonnet, who remains sidelined following ACL surgery performed in February. Despite participating in practice throughout the previous week, Charbonnet was inactive for the game against the Chiefs. Macdonald emphasized that the team remains committed to a structured recovery plan for the running back, stating that the organization will continue to evaluate his status as he resumes full participation in practice sessions throughout the week.
