Internal Conflict and Ministerial Oversight
The urgency of the situation was underscored by a public disagreement between the federation's leadership. Secretary-general Bholanath Singh recently attempted to convene an emergency meeting of the Executive Board for September 18, asserting that the decision was made under the guidance of the president. However, Dilip Tirkey swiftly refuted this claim, clarifying that he had issued no such directive and reiterating that the authority to call for such meetings rests solely with the president.
In a direct communication to the secretary-general, Tirkey explicitly instructed that no Executive Board meeting should proceed until an explanation is submitted by the Director General, Srivastava. He further cautioned the secretary-general against disregarding official directives, highlighting the depth of the divide within the organisation's upper management.
