A trio of horses, Social Butterfly, Ironheart, and Queen Caroline, stood out during the morning training session on Tuesday, September 15. The horses were put through their paces on the inner sand track as trainers continued preparations for upcoming race days.
Among the standout performers, Social Butterfly displayed impressive form during a 1000m gallop, clocking 1-4, with an 800m split of 50 seconds and a 600m final section of 38 seconds. The effort was noted for its fluidity and ease, marking the horse as one to watch in future outings.
Strong displays from Ironheart and Queen Caroline
In the 800m sprints, Ironheart, ridden by Prasad, produced an attractive piece of work, covering the distance in 49 seconds with a final 600m burst of 36 seconds. The performance was marked by its natural movement and pace.
Queen Caroline also drew attention during an 800m gallop alongside Ministry Of Time. Partnered with Shubham, Queen Caroline showed significant acceleration; despite starting four lengths behind her stablemate, she finished the work six lengths clear, recording a time of 50 seconds for the 800m and 37 seconds for the final 600m.
Additional training notes from the inner sand
Several other horses completed notable work on the inner sand track. In the 1000m category, Inheritance, with Mosin in the saddle, finished four lengths ahead of Carino, clocking 1-6 for the full distance. Meanwhile, Tonto and Exuma worked over the same distance, with Tonto finishing four lengths in front after a 1-8 effort.
The 1600m gallop featured Red Bishop and Zuccarro, who moved in tandem throughout the long-distance exercise. The pair clocked 1-52 for the full distance, maintaining a consistent pace of 1-7 for the 1000m mark and 39 seconds for the final 600m. Other notable efforts included Gunfire, who impressed in an 800m sprint with a 36-second final 600m, and the pairing of Sky Bound and Star Dream, with the former finishing three lengths clear at the conclusion of their 800m work.
