A quartet of thoroughbreds caught the eye during Monday morning's training session on September 14, as
Miracle Star, ridden by D. Patel, produced the most notable effort of the morning over the 1600m distance. The horse clocked 1:55.5, maintaining a consistent rhythm throughout the work. The sectional times, including 1:37.5 for the 1400m, 1:22.5 for the 1200m, 1:09 for the 1000m, and a final 600m split of 42.5, highlighted a well-balanced and controlled performance.
Strong performances across the track
In the 1000m gallops, Royal Legacy and Tyche both demonstrated they are in fine form. Under the guidance of D. Patel, Royal Legacy stopped the clock at 1:10, covering the final 600m in 41.5. Similarly, Tyche, with Srinath in the saddle, matched that time of 1:10 and 41.5 for the final 600m, moving with notable fluidity and impression.
Don Carlos also featured prominently in the 1000m work. Paired with Southern Force, Don Carlos completed the distance in 1:10.5, with a 600m split of 43.5. The former showed out during the exercise, appearing to have the edge over its training partner. Other notable efforts included Master Way, who strode out well over 1200m to clock 1:26.5, with a 1000m time of 1:11.5 and a 600m finish of 43.
Additional work on the outer sand track saw Edison and Quantum complete 600m gallops in 43 and 44.5 respectively, with both horses working comfortably. Earlier in the morning, Kaori covered 1000m in 1:06, finishing the final 600m in 38, while African Gold completed a 1200m gallop in 1:21, showing fluent movement throughout the exercise.
