India’s scoring spree began early in the sixth minute when Shilanand Lakra pounced on a rebound after a drag-flick from captain Harmanpreet Singh was initially saved. Abhishek extended the lead in the 12th minute, setting the stage for Dilpreet Singh’s dominant performance. Dilpreet found the back of the net in the 18th, 19th, 37th, and 49th minutes, showcasing his composure in front of the goal.
The supporting cast was equally prolific, with Shilanand Lakra and Sukhjeet Singh both recording braces. Further goals from Rajinder Singh, Mandeep Singh, captain Harmanpreet Singh, and Jugraj Singh rounded out the tally.
