Drivers Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc will pilot the SF-26 featuring the new aesthetic, which incorporates a classic full-red base with white detailing. The design includes seven white stars positioned on the nose of the car, a direct nod to the seven world titles secured by the German driver during his illustrious career.
Honoring a Motorsport Icon
The tribute arrives at a significant juncture, marking 30 years since Schumacher made his debut with Ferrari in 1996 and 20 years since he concluded his final season with the squad. During his tenure from 1996 to 2006, Schumacher was instrumental in transforming the team, ultimately delivering five consecutive world championships between 2000 and 2004. In addition to the seven stars, the livery features an encrypted Michael Schumacher logo to further personalize the design.
The team’s commitment to the tribute extends beyond the car’s bodywork. Both Hamilton and Leclerc will wear specialized race suits throughout the Monza weekend. These kits mirror the theme of the livery, featuring white striping down the front and seven stars displayed on the back, alongside Schumacher’s personal branding.
A Tradition of Monza Special Editions
This initiative continues Ferrari's recent tradition of debuting unique liveries for their home race. Since 2022, the team has frequently utilized the Italian Grand Prix to showcase special designs. Past iterations have included yellow and black accents to celebrate the team's 75th anniversary, a design inspired by the Le Mans-winning 499P, and a retro-themed look in 2025 that honored Niki Lauda’s first title with the team.
