In a remarkable display of skill, Jasprit Bumrah achieved a significant milestone on Tuesday, becoming the third-fastest Indian bowler to reach 150 wickets in One Day Internationals (ODIs) during the first match against England. This accomplishment came when Bumrah dismissed England's captain, Harry Brook, with the very first delivery of the 14th over. The bowler executed a slower ball that caught Brook off guard, resulting in an edge that was comfortably caught by Rohit Sharma at first slip. This wicket marked Bumrah's 150th in ODI cricket.

In addition to this personal achievement, Bumrah set another record by becoming India's leading wicket-taker in ODIs played in England, surpassing Ravindra Jadeja's tally of 30 wickets. Bumrah now boasts 31 ODI wickets on English soil, further solidifying his reputation as a premier bowler in the format.

Fastest to 150 ODI Wickets

Jasprit Bumrah's journey to 150 ODI wickets has been impressive, with his achievement coming in just 4,605 balls bowled. This places him behind only Mohammed Shami and Kuldeep Yadav in terms of speed to this milestone among Indian bowlers. The list of the fastest Indian bowlers to reach 150 ODI wickets is as follows:

1. Mohammed Shami – 4,070 balls

2. Kuldeep Yadav – 4,513 balls

3. Jasprit Bumrah – 4,605 balls

4. Ajit Agarkar – 5,027 balls

5. Irfan Pathan – 5,131 balls
