Timeless Vision Headlines Opening Day of Hyderabad Winter Races

The Hyderabad Winter Races are set to return on Monday, November 9, with a competitive seven-race card marking the start of the season. The feature event, the upper division of the Democracy Plate, sees the five-year-old mare Timeless Vision enter the fray as a strong favorite. Having been recently demoted to Class II, she is well-positioned to challenge her rivals over the 1,100-meter sprint.

The opening day’s proceedings will also feature several other high-stakes contests, including the Kamareddy Trophy and two divisions of the Osman Sagar Trophy. With a mix of seasoned campaigners and younger horses across various categories, the card offers a comprehensive look at the local racing talent as the winter circuit officially gets underway.

Feature Races and Key Contenders

In the feature Democracy Plate (Div. I), Timeless Vision, ridden by Akshay K, leads the field of eight. Her primary competition is expected to come from Ayushman and Emerald Touch. Earlier in the day, the second division of the same race will feature a competitive lineup including Star Of Opera, Dubai Touch, and High Speed Dive, all vying for honors over the 1,100-meter distance.

The Kamareddy Trophy, a 1,200-meter contest for horses rated 40 to 65, is highlighted by the presence of Ojas Maximus, who is tipped as the day’s best bet. The field also includes strong contenders such as Cosmic Gift and N R I Crypto Power. Meanwhile, the two divisions of the Osman Sagar Trophy will test horses rated 20 to 45, with Aprameya and Grit ‘N’ Grace identified as the horses to watch in their respective divisions.
