A trio of thoroughbreds headlined the morning training session on Saturday, November 7, as Iron Mirage, Knightsbridge, and Darringer delivered eye-catching workouts. The horses were put through their paces across varying distances, with trainers and observers noting the fluid movement and readiness of the leading contenders.

The outer sand track served as the primary venue for the morning's most significant efforts. Among the highlights, Knightsbridge, under the guidance of P. Trevor, displayed impressive form over 1400m. The horse clocked 1-43.5, maintaining a steady rhythm that saw it cover the 1200m mark in 1-27.5 and the 1000m in 1-12.5, before finishing the final 600m in 44.5 seconds.

Strong performances across the outer sand

Darringer also caught the eye during a fluent 1400m gallop alongside Shaolin Star. The pair completed the distance in 1-42, with sectional times of 1-26.5 for the 1200m, 1-13 for the 1000m, and a final 600m split of 44 seconds. Their synchronized movement suggested they are in peak condition as they prepare for upcoming engagements.

In the shorter sprints, Iron Mirage demonstrated notable speed, covering 600m in 42 seconds under Chetan. Other notable efforts on the outer track included Act Of Kindness, who appeared in fine trim while clocking 44 seconds over 600m, and Maxima, who completed the same distance in 45 seconds. Several other runners, including Sassy Sarah, Black Irish, and Victor Hugo, were eased up during their 1400m work, recording times of 1-44.5, 1-45.5, and 1-48 respectively.

Inner sand updates

While the majority of the action took place on the outer track, the inner sand was also in use during the early morning. Velvet Haze, partnered with Chetan, provided a positive showing over 600m, clocking 40 seconds and moving well throughout the exercise. The session concluded with all participants showing no signs of distress, marking a productive morning for the stables involved.
