The training session provided a valuable opportunity for trainers to assess the condition of their charges. While many horses were put through their paces, the trio of Staria, Kavya and Invincible Force drew particular attention for the quality of their movement and their ability to cover ground with ease.
Strong Gallops on the Inner Sand
In the 1000m gallops, Invincible Force, partnered with Abhyankar, clocked 1-4, covering the final 800m in 50 seconds and the concluding 600m in 38 seconds. Invincible Force looked particularly sharp, finishing a distance ahead of its companion. Similarly, Staria impressed during a 1000m workout alongside Azaadi, stopping the clock at 1-4. Staria showed notable acceleration, finishing three lengths clear with a final 600m split of 37 seconds.
Kavya produced perhaps the most attractive work of the morning over a longer distance. Covering 1400m in 1-33, the horse maintained a consistent rhythm, recording 1-18 for the 1200m mark and 1-4 for the 1000m. A strong finish saw Kavya complete the final 600m in 37 seconds, signaling a high level of fitness.
Additional Training Notes
Several other horses caught the eye during the session. In the 800m gallops, Paloma moved well to clock 52 seconds, with a 38-second final 600m. Dream Seller also performed creditably over 1000m, finishing in 1-5, while Bravo Zulu finished a distance ahead of Valtat in their 1000m hit-out, clocking 1-6. Golden Dancer, working over 1200m, recorded 1-21 and showed a nice, comfortable action throughout the exercise.
The morning also featured gate practice on the inner sand, where Sky Full Of Stars jumped out well over 1000m, recording 1-7. Other gate sessions saw Ironheart finish three lengths ahead of Fantastica, while Philatelist finished five lengths clear of Pour Me A Peg. Snow Girl also showed good form in the gates, finishing well clear of Aegean Sea. These sessions serve as a vital component of the horses' ongoing development and readiness for competitive racing.
