Among the standout performers, Estelle demonstrated significant quality over the 1400m distance, clocking 1:41 for the full trip. The horse showed excellent responsiveness, covering the final 1200m in 1:26.5 and the 1000m mark in 1:12, finishing off with a 600m split of 42 seconds.
Strong displays on the outer sand track
The outer sand track played host to several notable gallops. Once You Go Black delivered a particularly eye-catching effort over 1200m, stopping the clock at 1:27. The horse maintained a strong pace throughout, hitting the 1000m marker in 1:11 before completing the final 600m in 42 seconds. Preview, working over the same distance, also impressed with a time of 1:27, showing a sharp turn of foot to cover the final 600m in 41.5 seconds.
Shining Path also drew attention during the morning, moving attractively over 1000m on the outer sand. The horse clocked 1:13.5 for the distance, finishing the final 600m in 42 seconds. Other notable performances included Unforgettable Star, who looked in fine condition over 1400m with a time of 1:44, and Sigrid, who strode out well to record 1:13.5 for the 1000m distance.
Inner sand training updates
Activity on the inner sand track saw Ranquelino produce a pleasing effort over 1000m, finishing in 1:07 with a 600m split of 37.5 seconds. In a separate 1000m gallop, Sensuous finished five lengths clear of Royal Tribute, with the pair recording a time of 1:07.5 and 1:07 respectively. Additional work included Waitara, who covered 1200m in 1:29.5, and Shining Dawn, who completed 1400m in 1:43, both showing steady form as they continue their preparations.
