Real Gold and Bravo Zulu headlined the morning training session on Monday, September 28, producing eye-catching displays as horses were put through their paces on the inner sand track. Both gallopers demonstrated significant form, marking them as notable performers during the latest round of preparations.
In the 1000m gallops, Real Gold, ridden by Kaviraj, clocked an impressive time of 1:03, covering the final 800m in 48 seconds and the last 600m in 39 seconds. Meanwhile, during the gate practice sessions, Bravo Zulu, with C. Umesh in the saddle, delivered an excellent display, completing the 1000m distance in 1:02, with an 800m split of 48 seconds and a 600m final section in 37 seconds.
Strong performances across training sessions
The morning's activity featured a variety of horses testing their fitness. Among the 800m gallops, Azaadi moved well to clock 50 seconds, with a 600m split of 37 seconds. Fourth Wing also showed good form, recording 52 seconds for the 800m distance and 37 seconds for the final 600m. Other notable efforts included Field Of Gold, which moved freely in 52 seconds, and Latios, which clocked 53 seconds for the 800m.
In the longer 1000m and 1200m work, Giant Gold recorded a solid 1:08 for the 1000m, while Victory Flair was urged to finish in 1:04. Chilton Lodge covered 1200m in 1:23, and Pyrite completed 1400m in 1:37, showing steady progress. Gate practice also saw Ageisjustanumber and Tyrannus paired together, with the former finishing six lengths ahead after a 1:04 effort.
Mock race results from Sunday
The training updates follow a series of mock races held on the track on September 27. In the first 1200m mock race, Spanish Eyes secured an impressive victory, finishing ahead of Dancing Star and Ashwa Tazbeez with a time of 1:10. The second 1200m mock race saw Marius lead from start to finish, clocking 1:11 to win comfortably ahead of Rules and Manor House.
