On the morning of July 9, several horses showcased their training prowess during a series of exercises at the local track, with notable performances from Magaretta, Duke of Tuscany, Shutterfly, and D’artagnan. The workouts were conducted on the outer sand track, where horses were timed over various distances, demonstrating their readiness for upcoming races.

Impressive Performances in Short Distances

In the 600-meter sprints, Il Volo, ridden by Kiran Rai, clocked an impressive time of 43.5 seconds, indicating a strong performance. Following closely was Mega Success, with Salman K. aboard, finishing in 44 seconds, while Rock Away, under Vaibhav, completed the distance in 45 seconds, all showing good movement.

The 1000-meter workouts saw Estelle, with Antony in the saddle, finish in 1:15.5, with a 600-meter split of 45 seconds, indicating a solid effort. Diana, ridden by Rajesh K., also performed well, completing the distance in 1:16.5 with a 600-meter split of 44 seconds. Refreshment, under Vishal B., impressed with a time of 1:27.5, achieving a 1000-meter split of 1:13 and a 600-meter split of 42 seconds. Zakharova, ridden by Arvind, and Asterion, with Akshay, also showed promising form, finishing in 1:28.5 and 1:27.5 respectively.

Strong Showings in Longer Distances

As the distances increased, Pearl Star and Knotty Emperor, both ridden by Akshay and Suraj respectively, completed the 1400-meter workout in 1:46, with a 600-meter split of 44 seconds. Shutterfly, under P. Trevor, demonstrated excellent form, finishing in 1:41 for the 1200 meters, with a 600-meter split of 42 seconds. In the 1600-meter trials, D’artagnan, ridden by Yash, and Oliver, under G. Vivek, both finished in 1:55, showcasing their stamina and speed.

Margaretta, also ridden by G. Vivek, delivered a standout performance, completing the 1600 meters in 1:55, with a remarkable 600-meter split of 41.5 seconds. Duke of Tuscany, under Yash, finished closely behind in 1:56, demonstrating impressive movement throughout the workout. Additionally, gate practice on the inner sand track saw Aidenn and Unforgettable Star jump out well, with times of 1:45.5 and 1:37.5 respectively, indicating their readiness for competitive action.
