Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua has been officially listed as questionable for Sunday’s upcoming matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders. The status of the playmaker remains uncertain after he was forced to cut his participation short during Thursday’s practice session due to a calf issue.

Head coach Sean McVay confirmed on Friday that Nacua would not participate in the team's final practice of the week. According to McVay, the injury did not stem from a single isolated incident on the field, but rather a gradual onset of discomfort that hindered the receiver's ability to perform at his usual intensity. The coach noted that Nacua reported feeling a lack of power and explosion, prompting the medical staff to exercise caution.

Decision on Nacua to be made pre-game

The Rams’ coaching staff plans to put the receiver through a series of on-field tests prior to kickoff on Sunday to determine his availability. This final assessment will be the deciding factor in whether he is cleared to suit up against the Raiders.

Nacua has been a focal point of the Rams' passing attack this season, recording 37 receptions for 417 yards and one touchdown across four appearances. His availability is particularly significant given the current state of the team's receiving corps. The roster is already navigating the absence of Davante Adams, who is expected to be sidelined for six to 10 weeks following a hamstring injury sustained in Week 6. Should Nacua be unable to play, the Rams will look to depth options including Tutu Atwell, Jordan Whittington, Konata Mumpfield, CJ Daniels, and Alex Bachman.

The injury concerns extend beyond the offense for Los Angeles. Cornerback Trent McDuffie, who missed the previous week’s action due to a groin injury, is also listed as questionable after being limited in practice. Additionally, the team has officially ruled out inside linebacker Nate Landman, who remains in the league's concussion protocol. The Rams will look to finalize their lineup as they prepare for the weekend contest.
