The New York Jets are set to receive a significant boost to their offensive lineup this Sunday as they prepare to face the Miami Dolphins. Head coach Aaron Glenn confirmed on Friday that wide receiver Adonai Mitchell has been cleared to play, marking his return to the field after a four-game absence caused by a finger injury that required surgical intervention.

Mitchell’s return provides a much-needed lift for a Jets offense that has struggled to find consistency, currently averaging just 18.7 points per game. The team has managed only four touchdowns over their last three outings, and the availability of their primary receiving corps is expected to provide a more dynamic threat against the winless Dolphins.

Offensive reinforcements and injury updates

The return of Mitchell means the Jets will feature their top three wide receivers—Mitchell, Garrett Wilson, and rookie Omar Cooper Jr.—together for the first time since the season opener. The trio has only shared the field for four snaps all season, making this a pivotal moment for the team’s offensive rhythm. Quarterback Geno Smith expressed optimism about the development, noting that having all three playmakers available creates diverse challenges for opposing defenses.

While Mitchell is confirmed to play, the status of running back Breece Hall remains uncertain. Hall, who has missed three consecutive games due to a quadriceps injury, has been limited in practice over the last two days and is officially listed as questionable. Coach Glenn indicated that a final decision regarding Hall’s participation will be made on Sunday. Should Hall remain sidelined, Braelon Allen is expected to continue his role in the backfield, having recorded 253 rushing yards during his recent stint as the starter.

The Jets are also monitoring the progress of left guard Dylan Parham, who is listed as questionable after missing three games with a knee injury. If Parham is cleared to play, it would mark the first time since Week 1 that the Jets have their entire starting lineup available. During his press conference, Coach Glenn declined to address reports regarding a $250,000 fine issued by the league concerning his conduct toward game officials, stating he would keep the matter private.
