Shula stated that the coaching staff is preparing for multiple scenarios regarding Donald's availability for the game at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The expectation is that Donald will not be utilized as an every-down player, a significant shift from his 2023 campaign where he participated in over 80% of the team's defensive snaps. Instead, the Rams plan to leverage their depth at the interior line position, including contributors such as Kobie Turner, Poona Ford, and Braden Fiske.
