Sarthak Chavan, a 19-year-old racer, achieved a thrilling victory in the Super Sport 301-400cc category during the MRF Indian National Racing Challenge 2W-2026, held at the Madras International Circuit on Saturday. Chavan's last-lap maneuver secured him a first-place finish, contributing to a remarkable 1-2 result for the Petronas TVS Racing team, with teammate Chiranth Vishwanath finishing closely behind in second place.

In the Super Stock 165cc Intermediate race, Ann Jennifer from Motul Sparks Racing showcased her dominance, crossing the finish line first. Meanwhile, Allwin Xavier of RACR Castrol Power1 claimed victory in the Super Stock 301-400cc Open class, further highlighting the competitive spirit of the event, where both categories raced simultaneously.

Impressive Performances Across Classes

Savion Sabu, representing Madrabbit Racing, displayed exceptional skill in the Pro Stock 200cc class, advancing from a sixth-place start to secure a well-deserved win. In the Stock 165cc (Novice) category, Hari Haran from RACR Castrol Power1 emerged victorious, demonstrating his racing prowess. Additionally, R. Ashwin, a private entrant, triumphed in the Stock 301-400cc (Novice) race, which concluded in a nail-biting finish.

The provisional results for the races were as follows: In the Super Sport 301-400cc (Race-1), Chavan clocked a time of 11 minutes and 1.971 seconds, followed by Vishwanath at 11:02.264 and Rahil Pillarisetty from RACR Castrol Power1 at 11:02.609. In the Super Stock 301-400cc Open (Race-1), Allwin Xavier finished in 11:41.198, with Seshadri from Motul Gusto Racing and Kamal Navas from Team Rockers Racing taking second and third, respectively.

Notable Results in Other Categories

In the Super Stock 165cc Intermediate (Race-1), Ann Jennifer AS secured victory with a time of 12:48.559, followed by M. Ajai Xavier and S. Anand Kumar. The Pro-Stock 200cc Open (Race-1) saw Savion Sabu finishing first in 11:54.910, with R.S. Abdul Basim and Senthil Kumar close behind. In the Stock 130-16cc (Novice) category, R. Hari Haran took the top spot, while R. Ashwin led the Stock 301-400cc Novice race.

In the Petronas TVS Racing One-Make Championship, Rajender Beedani emerged victorious in the Open category, while Poojita Anil Kumar claimed the win in the Women’s race. The event showcased a thrilling day of racing, highlighting the talent and competitive spirit of the participants.
