Korea's Response and India's Resilience
After the break, Korea sought to mount a comeback, and they managed to score in the third quarter through Gyeongmin Ryu, narrowing the gap to 2-1 in the 41st minute. However, India quickly responded, with Kiran Ekka, who was later named player of the match, scoring from a penalty corner just two minutes later, restoring the two-goal lead. The Indian defense held firm in the final quarter, successfully preventing Korea from finding the back of the net again.
Throughout the match, India earned four penalty corners and one penalty stroke, while Korea was awarded two penalty corners. With this victory, India now has six points from their first two matches and is poised to continue their unbeaten streak as they prepare to face Singapore in their final Pool A match on June 2.
