AIFF Reschedules India vs Panama International Friendly to September 25

The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has officially confirmed a change in the schedule for the upcoming international friendly match between India and Panama. Originally slated for September 26, the encounter will now take place one day earlier, on September 25, 2026.

The venue for the fixture remains unchanged, with the Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru set to host the Blue Tigers as they prepare to face the North American side. According to reports, the adjustment to the calendar was necessitated by the upcoming Bengaluru Marathon.

Following the conclusion of the match in Bengaluru, the Indian squad is scheduled to head to Kolkata for a pair of high-profile friendlies. The team will face five-time World Cup winners Brazil at the Salt Lake Stadium on October 3. This will be followed by a match against two-time World Cup champions Uruguay at the same venue on October 6.

Preparations for these fixtures are already underway. Brazil head coach Carlo Ancelotti is expected to reveal his 26-man squad for the tour on September 9. Meanwhile, Uruguay has already released a preliminary roster that features several high-profile names, including Real Madrid captain Federico Valverde, Liverpool defender Ronald Araujo, and striker Darwin Nunez. These players were part of the Uruguay squad that competed in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where the team finished behind Spain and Cape Verde in Group H, missing out on a spot in the knockout stages.
