Smriti Mandhana Maintains Lead in ICC Women’s ODI Batting Rankings

Smriti Mandhana has solidified her status as the premier batter in women’s 50-over cricket, retaining the number one spot in the latest ICC ODI batting rankings. The newly appointed India captain, who recently took over the leadership role from Harmanpreet Kaur, continues to lead the field with a total of 790 rating points.

The latest update also marks a significant return for Australian star Ellyse Perry, who has successfully climbed back into the top 10 rankings. While Mandhana remains at the summit, Harmanpreet Kaur also maintains a presence in the upper echelon of the ODI format, currently holding the ninth position with 652 points.

Shifting Dynamics in Bowling and T20I Rankings

In the bowling department, India’s Deepti Sharma has experienced a slight shift, moving down one place to ninth in the ODI rankings. Conversely, Australian bowlers Annabel Sutherland and Megan Schutt have both seen their standings improve, further cementing their influence in the international game.

The T20I format continues to showcase India’s depth, with three players currently positioned within the top 10 of the batting rankings. Shafali Verma leads the charge for India in fourth place with 759 points, closely followed by Mandhana in fifth with 754 points. Harmanpreet Kaur rounds out the group, sitting in 10th place with 656 points.

India’s dominance is particularly evident in the T20I bowling rankings, where the team occupies the top two positions. Shree Charani holds the number one spot with 817 rating points, while Deepti Sharma follows in second with 754 points. Deepti also remains a key figure in the all-rounder categories, holding the fourth spot in T20Is and the sixth position in the ODI all-rounder rankings. As it stands, India maintains a consistent third-place ranking in both the women’s ODI and T20I team categories.
