South Africa captain
Mandhana, who previously held the top spot, saw her ranking points decline after a challenging start to India’s ODI series against Zimbabwe. The Indian skipper managed only 32 runs in the opening match before falling for a duck in the second, a sequence of results that allowed Wolvaardt to ascend back to the summit of the batting charts.
Indian Stars Surge Following Century Displays
While the captain faced a setback, her teammates
Deepti’s influence extended beyond her batting, as she also made gains in the all-rounder and bowling categories. She rose two places to fourth among ODI all-rounders and improved one spot to eighth in the ODI bowling rankings. Other Indian players also saw positive movement, with pacer Kranti Gaud rising two places to 25th in the bowling charts, and young batter Pratika Rawal achieving a career-best 21st position in the ODI batting rankings.
T20I Shifts and International Gains
The latest update also accounted for changes in the T20I format following the conclusion of India’s series against Zimbabwe and the trans-Tasman contests between Australia and New Zealand. In the T20I batting rankings, Shafali Verma climbed one place to third, while Mandhana also moved up one spot to fourth.
Zimbabwean players saw notable improvements in the ODI rankings as well. Modester Mupachikwa rose five places to 39th, Chipo Mugeri-Tiripano climbed four spots to 47th, and Beloved Biza enjoyed the most significant ascent, jumping 16 places to 56th. Meanwhile, Australian and New Zealand players saw movement in the T20I rankings, with Ash Gardner rising to 19th in batting, and bowlers Georgia Wareham, Kim Garth, Bree Illing, and Nensi Patel all securing improved positions.
