Sooryavanshi has quickly become one of the most talked-about talents in Indian cricket, having transitioned from an IPL standout to the country’s youngest men’s international debutant. His recent form has been highlighted by a standout performance in the Duleep Trophy, where he scored 92 runs off 81 balls for East Zone against Central Zone in Bengaluru, a knock that included seven sixes.
The board’s cautious stance is designed to prevent the pitfalls often associated with early fame. According to Saikia, the BCCI is focused on ensuring that every step the teenager takes is calculated to foster development. The aim is to avoid the scenario where a player becomes a one-series or one-year wonder, instead building a foundation for a career that mirrors the longevity and impact of the game’s greatest icons.

Following an initial adjustment period during a tour of England, he showcased his resilience by scoring 151 runs across three matches in a T20I series against Zimbabwe, earning his first Player of the Series award.
In addition to discussing player development, the BCCI addressed logistical preparations for upcoming international commitments. Regarding the Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Saikia noted that there are currently no concerns regarding facilities or accommodation.
