Luis Enrique Signs PSG Contract Extension Through 2030

Paris Saint-Germain has secured the long-term future of head coach Luis Enrique, announcing on Friday that the Spaniard has signed a contract extension that will keep him at the club until 2030. The agreement adds three years to his previous deal, which was set to expire at the conclusion of the current season.

Alongside the manager, five members of the squad—Joao Neves, Fabian Ruiz, Willian Pacho, Lucas Beraldo, and Senny Mayulu—also committed their futures to the Ligue 1 giants. Reflecting on the milestone, the 56-year-old manager noted the significance of the duration of his stay. Luis Enrique remarked that this is the first time in his coaching career he has remained at a single club for more than three years. He expressed a high level of motivation, stating that he feels even more driven now than during his initial year in Paris, and voiced his hope to continue meeting the demands of the role.

The contract renewals for the playing staff vary in duration. Midfielder Fabian Ruiz has extended his deal until the end of next season, with an option for an additional year. Meanwhile, Joao Neves, Lucas Beraldo, Willian Pacho, and Senny Mayulu have all signed agreements running through 2031. Despite the positive news regarding the club's structure, the team faced a setback on the pitch shortly after the announcement, falling to a 2-1 defeat against Monaco, leaving them without a win in their opening three matches of the new Ligue 1 campaign.
