India’s medal tally at the Para Asian Games continued to climb on Tuesday, bolstered by a dominant display in the field and on the track. Pranav Soorma led the charge in the men's discus throw F51/F52/F53 event, securing the gold medal while establishing a new Asian record with a throw of 11.66 metres. His teammate, Ram Ratan Singh, complemented the performance by claiming the silver medal with a best effort of 10.35 metres.

The success in the discus throw event added to an already productive day for the Indian contingent, which has now reached a total of 28 medals at the continental event. The current haul comprises seven gold, nine silver, and 12 bronze medals. In the same discus final, Iranian athlete Alireza Hemami, competing in the F53 category, rounded out the podium with a bronze medal after recording a throw of 20.20 metres.
